Who is this service for?

Two kinds of car. The first: heavily soiled vehicles where embedded grit has built up over months or years and every contour needs purging by hand. The second: well-cared-for cars whose owners want the maximum time spent on the exterior — every shut, every panel gap, every trim edge given the kind of meticulous care that a standard wash schedule simply can't deliver. Either way: the same intensive process, the same hand-finished result.

Question 2

How is this different from a Full Valet?

Accepted Answer

A Full Valet is the complete inside-and-out clean, with 6-month ceramic protection and Tornador interior recovery. Exterior Detailed focuses entirely on the exterior — every contour and crevice purged by hand, then finished with a hand polish. No interior work, but every exterior surface gets more time and detail than a Full Valet allows.

Will this remove swirls or scratches?

Accepted Answer

No. Hand polish enhances shine but doesn't correct paint defects. For swirls, scratches or oxidation removal, you need machine polish — see Enhancement Detail (single-stage machine polish) or Paint Correction (2-stage and 3-stage). The Exterior Detailed delivers the deepest exterior clean and a hand-polished high-shine finish, not paint correction.

Hand polish vs machine polish — what's the difference?

Accepted Answer

Hand polishing applies a polish or glaze by hand to enhance the existing finish — it lifts and protects shine without removing any paint. Machine polishing uses an electric polisher with abrasive compounds to actually cut into the clear coat and remove defects (swirls, scratches, oxidation). Hand polish is the right tool for rejuvenation and maintenance; machine polish is for correcting paint problems.

Can I do this mobile, or do I need to come to the studio?

Accepted Answer

Both are available. Mobile at your home or work for most jobs. The studio at Larkspur Drive, Eastbourne, is preferable for very dirty cars (where multiple drying stages are useful) or in poor weather. Tell us what suits and we'll work around it.

Can I add an Interior Detail to the same booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes — many customers do. Book Exterior Detailed + Interior Detail and we deliver them in one visit. If you want both together with extras (clay bar, machine polish, ceramic sealant), Full Detailed bundles all of it into a single service and works out slightly better value.

Question 7

My car is REALLY dirty. Is this enough?

Accepted Answer

For most heavily soiled vehicles, yes — the high-intensity process is built for exactly this. If we encounter exceptional contamination on arrival (heavy bird-mark etching, deep scratches, severe oxidation), we may recommend stepping up to a Paint Correction. Any upgrade is discussed before adding cost — never assumed.
